battery boxes

In a earlier post I asked if anyone was interested in new battery boxes and only got 1 reply. So how about parts of a box? I am cutting out doors (the box door, NOT the body door) from 14 gauge BRIGHT diamond plate. Just add hinges and a latch. $20 each + shipping. Please respond off-line. I will post a pic next week in my "New Life" picture folder.

box pic

I have a pic of the box parts that are cut and ready to be formed and welded. Also in the pic is the diamond plate door.

nearly finished box

The prototype box is nearly finished. I will be picking it up tomorrow. Anyone interested? $140 + shipping, as shown. No rubber, and I have not been able to find a stainless latch, so you are on your own there. I can sell them flat (no bending or welding done, no hinges or latch) for $75.

How are people to respond...

..."off-line"...? Did you post your telephone # somewhere?

"off-line"

If you click that little icon down in the lower left, 2nd one to the right, that will bring up a page to contact me via e-mail. I also posted this on Yahoo mazdarepurotaryenginepickup .

Email =

Email is, by definition, *on-line* communications. No internet, no www, no computer = no email. Even the so-called non-computer "internet appliances" use the internet (i.e., 'on-line' communications) to communicate...
Misnomer, IMO.

Wouldn't it have been simpler and clearer to just say, "Email me", for example?

battery boxes

FYI, they are nearly finished. I still have to come up with hinge, but they are bent and welded! Check out the pic in my folder "New Life". I should have a price in the next couple of days. I have 8 steel boxes and 2 stainless steel boxes. Also in the pic is a header flange and a 5-speed transmission mount adapter that I have available.

Battery Box

Another, while I was surfing find.Take a look here;

http://store.bobdrake.com/batterybox.html

This looks like it would be an an easy and fairly inexpensive place to start on a REPU battery box

?

Why would you buy something that costs MORE, and still have to modify it to make it work???

Battery Box

Probably no one! I just didn't see your price posted and thought you may have abandoned your project. I had run across this and not having many of the required tools (cnc plasma cutter, press brake, forming die for handle, mig welder) thought this might be easier for the average guy (though not as elegant) Nothing beats an accurate replica for form, fit, and function, yours looks pretty close though.

price

Sorry about that. There is a posting in the flea market. I suppose having 2 threads going on this didn't help anything! I still have a couple left.

CLEARANCE!

I have 4 boxes left. I sold my truck and recently moved and decided it is time to cut my losses. I honestly have nearly $100 wrapped up is EACH box, but decided it is time ....... make me an offer on ALL 4 and they are yours. They still need the hinges and latch welded on, but that is the way they are. Cash, check, PayPal, no C.O.D. I am sure anyone that has dealt with me will offer a reference.
