77 Battery box

ok, I know the 77 had a different battery box. I would like some pictures of the 77 battery box for those of you guys out there that have 77's. My 77 seems to be missing something in the battery box location but can not figure out what. (rotoryfan@yahoo.com)
Thanks

Inner battery box, inner door ? The 77 battery box was more streamlined, and did not stick out near as much.

when i get back to the house i will try to post a couple of pics i took of the one i sold recently it had a really clean box.

Now i will admit what an idiot I am, on my first 77 i converted a pristine 74 box to use on a 77 because i though that the "missing" door meant it was a bad box......

Yea I know bad Dave bad Dave, well what can I say it was also my first REPU many years ago... but I still have her

Sorry for the threadsurection. Did I read that right, '77 REPUS didn't have inner doors for the battery box?

Ok, that's what mine looks like. What is supposed to be there to make sure the battery doesn't fall out?

This is the setup on my 1977. It looks factory...or at least old. There are 2 "j-bolts" on either side that hold a bracket across the battery. Pretty simple.
