Screws and such

Well, had to drill out a couple of the screws holding the door hinges in place. These seem to be a bit unusual with countersunk heads and a sharp pointy end. Never seen these at home depot, are these still avaliable thru mazda, perhaps used in later model trucks?

door hinges

Here are some numbers. Check with Mazda re availability and let us know what you find. Looks like the screws and washers come with the hinge number:

0588 58 710 Hinge, upper
0588 58 760 Hinge, lower
9976 10 825 Screw, door hinge
9997 50 800 Washer, toothed, door hinge

Also worth remembering...

...that if they're NLA domestically, your friendly Mazda Parts Professional could still do a VIN#-specific check into availability from Japan... (Has worked for certain items in the past!)

Or you can just ask me for some....

as I have a lot of them....and only have so many doors. Sand blast them, oil them up, install them and clean and touch up with paint and you'd never know them from the three hour searched, four phone calls and $8.00 ea + shipping specials.

no prob dude

we all help each other out.

it's a good assortment at a very good price. only bummer is the lockwashers are unfinished bare metal = surface rust. all other parts are zinc plated.

Just ordered that same set. Where to get the zinc washers..or can I use galvanized if I can find them?
After countless hours of blood sweat, and tears fighting rust in my restoration, I want to have the best shot of it not returning.

local

My local OSH and ACE hardware have metric zinc plated lockwashers. ACE has much more selection.

Or buy a can of zinc spray and go to town.
