What exactly are we talking about here?

Are you talking a true mini camper or just a bed topper/cover?

yes i am pretty sure a repu camper? What r the specifics to tell for sure?i saw it on an original repu and now the repu is gone and camper stayed.i looked at it and looked for anything that would say bout it on it.it's a pretty unique camep as it is.roll out windows/wood grain interior/small cabinet area in front ... i don't know much about the campers in that time so please let me know ... if it is not repu than i don't know if i would want to buy it, i have deposit on it so the guy doesn't get rid of it just yet.thanks

Camper

As far as I know there was no "REPU" camper, there were a lot of folks who made campers of differing sizes that would fit on a REPU but none of them came from Mazda.
I you need a camper and like that one for the price, then it's a good deal.
If your looking for an original Mazda part I'd pass on it, only you know what your looking for.

Well...

If it is a true camper (you can climb into it through a small door, etc.) I am interested, dependant on price and condition. Any chance you can take a few pictures of it for me? Even by regular mail would be fine, if you don't have a digital camera. Let me know, sounds really interesting- I think I'd like it.

Thanks,
Neal.

don't know about door?

but what i remeber <been little bit since then> there is rear hydrolic hatch and one hydrolic shock was not attatched, but hatch works fine.rear plastic glass would need to be replaced ... color is white with blue i think, looked pretty decent for the age, is why i put alittle $ down in case it was a real repu camper ... u don't have pics of a repu one do you? mounting wise i am wanting to say would take 4 bolts up and down in each corner.I don't know how easy it would be for me to get pics right now ... but if you r looking for one or pretty interested i will get some film and go take care of that for you.
where r u located?the camper is about 50 miles from me.i can be workable for the most part, sound good?just let me know ... oh, what kinda price would one run?thanks*

Well, it's not going to be a "REPU piece" as such. Like Orville said, Mazda never (to my knowledge) sold a mini camper specifically for the REPU or anything else that I am aware of. It's probably a Holiday Rambler, Jayco, Cabriolet or some other manufacturer's item that was just built to fit a mini-truck. REPU, B-Series, Ford Courier, Chevy Luv, Toyota, doesn't matter. I am interested in seeing what it looks like... get some pics if you can next time you're out that way, but don't break your back since I am in Michigan and it would be costly to have it shipped here. I just may have that done, though, if it's neat enough. As for price- I'm not sure. All I have to compare it to are the walk in campers for the beds of full size trucks. I've come across 3 here in West Michigan w/stoves, bathrooms, bed over the cab of the truck, table, etc. all were decent and selling for $600 or under. Hope that helps...

Hey, alright Neal--looks like all you'll need now

...is a multi-car trailer to tow behind that new truck o' yours, (and some time and more $$$$...), and you'll be paying us all a visit out West here...!?
(Still got your bed at the dry end of my carport...) :)

well,not a live in camper ...

those campers you r talking about you have to take the tailgate down right? This one is not like that, has upper hydrolic hatch... its in pretty decent shape.i will try to get some film soon and get that done for ya.i wouln't know how to ship it though .... would be cheaper i would say to pick it up.has roll out windows all the way around, back glass would need replaced and one hydrolic shock if it does nor function right(was unhooked),small cabinets, wood grain interior looks real nice.white with i'm wantin to say blue strip down it.

actually mazda did make an interesting accessory for the REPU and the b-series, it is not a true camper shell that attaches to the bed and stays in an upright position nor is it the type of live in camper that neal is refering to, it is like a fold-up tent that is in canvas that attaches to the bed. I picked up one a few years back NOS with the mazda part # still on it tried to find another but have never even seen another one like it. We have never installed it only inventoried it and looked at the instructions.
