I have an 84 B2000 that I put a 12A into. It's quite a job. Your better off to get an 86 or newer. The frame is wider and will accept the rotary a lot better. I had to have a 74 front frame section grafted to mine. Don't get me wrong it can be done. Just the 86 is a lot easier. If my plans work out I may be selling my frame in the next few months. I will know something by the end of the week. The 84 has a 3.08:1 rear gear ratio. I have gotten a 74 courier rearend for mine. It's 3.73:1 and a lot easier on the clutch. Good luck and If I can help let me know.
