motor mount
does anyone have a motormount (the brace piece that mounts to the front cover) for the repu, or equivalent? or even one to borrow so i can make one? it would be really appreciated

Any motor mount from 1st gen rx7 will work.

thats strange, because the 79 12a thats in there now didnt fit with the stock front mount... it sat too far to one side

The engine normally sits closer to the driver side frame rail.

Hmmm, Sparky, When I bolted up my engine , I used a level on the oil pan. Is that OK or saying the same thing?

I don't think it's the same thing. The motor mount bracket that bolts to the front cover places the engine closer to the driver side frame rail.

I heard that.
In my case, I used a universal racing trans mount for a 350 chev. trans. that is nearly rigid so the engine is only going to sit where it wants. That mount feels tight on launches too.
P.S. Don't forget the ground straps as intended.
