more weber carb questions!

Curious if anyone has run a Weber 48 DCOE sidedraft carb on their REPU? If so, which jet settings did you use? Is it wrong to assume similar base jet settings similar to a Dellorto 48?

totally different jetting then dellorto. the dell uses a very lean e-tube which necessitates larger main fuel jets.

search rx7club.com for 48 dcoe jetting.

there were a few threads w/ 45s w/ 12As. sparse info on running a weber 48 dcoe w/ a 13B. thanks for the lead. i was able to find some stock jet settings on the weber site for how the factory ships the carbs. there are settings for a SP 13B from RB. i suppose i could use that as a base line and tune down to a stock port.

I have a Weber 48 DCO on my REPU. I had been running it on a stock ported 6-port motor but just replaced that motor with a heavily ported 4-port turboII motor.

I dont remember exact jetting, but on the 6-port I had I believe a 55 idle jet, a 210 main, and maybe 180 air corrector? It was never exactly perfect and my timing was off because of no timing marks so I am sure the jetting wasnt where it should have been either. Not to mention I just disassembled the DCO and found a few gummed up passages which I am sure made the jetting that much more wrong.

Now I have a wide band to install, have timing marks on the pulley, and hope to have it jetted fairly soon. I just need to work out an exhaust so I dont scare the neighbors when driving around the block.

Also, if you have a hard time finding jets locally I have bought from the guys at racetep.com
http://racetep.com/weberX.html#jets

When buying locally look at the VW shops, dont worry about the looks you get when asking for something like a 210 main. They just dont understand because to them a 160 is huge.
