rotary truck in NC pull a part

There is a rotary pickup at Dons pull-a-part in Monroe NC. It was there at the end of November 2011. Appeared complete. I am a MG guy and willing to assist if possable to save some bits from this cool truck. I am not looking to make money off this post. I had a rotary truck project many years ago that I never finished and sold it as a project. Bob mgragman@aol.com

Well, The truck is a 77 with a 5 speed and air. I have pics I can send if that will help. The wheels are gone and the diff is unbolted except for the driveshaft. The yard name is Don's save more 9001 stitt st, monroe nc 28111 and their phone number is 704-226-1926. It is a pull it yourself lot. I really do not mind pulling some parts off and shipping but the bigger hard to remove bits may require me to get assistance. Let me know how I can assist. Bob

Zach,
I will get the plastic grille since its only $20. Headlight surrounds are $7.50 each. As I mentioned in my email reply I do not think C.O.D. will work on international things and it would be a pain in the butt for me to try to do it.I do not mind shipping to Canada and doing the us post office customs form. If the grille is worth having I will pruchase it and you will have first crack at it. As in the pic I sent it looks decent but I did not look for cracks or mounting hole issues. I will keep you informed. bob

The air unit in the cab is going to someone from this site. Rear light trim, door locks and front parking lens are also spoken for. I think Zack will end up with the Grille and one side headlight door may go to another from this site. I hope to get some of this stuff boxed tomorrow. Happy to assist! Bob

Great! You parting out or restoring? I'd like those mirrors if you are parting.

Brake pad retaining clips

If you get a chance, and they are still available, I'd love to get the Brake pad retaining clips.

These are the little tabs that keep the brake pads from going click-clack:

The anti-rattle clips are Mazda PN 0305 33 235. Surprisingly, onlinemazdaparts.com doesn't list it, but your local dealer might. It's the kind of thing that tends to get reused across several vehicles. I heard someone say our calipers are the same as the SA calipers, but I've never confirmed. If you can get the Mazda parts, they run the full width along the bottom side of each pad (nearest the hub), so you only need 4 per truck instead of 8 using the type you posted.

-= EDIT =-

I'm and idiot. You can get them new. Raybestos PN H15536 or H15536A can be had on rockauto.com for $1.38 and up. This will get you what you need http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1192069,parttype,1736

If the mirrors are still on the truck, they'll be going on my project. It's got no mirrors at all on my doors and all the holes are filled - waiting the many months and years I expected it to take in order to find some original Chevron mirrors. I've got some cheapo knockoff mounts that look original (the mirror itself sucks) that will support a West Coast Jr mirror. With my mounts and a WC mirror, it's as close as I can find to original.

bwaits and I are less than an hour apart on the North side of Atlanta, and both have REPU projects in progress. It's a race to see who gets done first, his 76 or my 77.

Hey Bob, do you have a line on anyone with an under-dash AC? We've got the truck, but of course the evaporator and airbox found another home.
