locking gas cap that fits, for about $20

I needed a new gas cap so I could get through emissions this year. I went to a local parts place and ordered one but it came in and didnt fit. Apparently whoever put the order in did it for a '77-80 B1800 or something like that. Any way, the guy there was very helpful and went through their assortment of gas caps making several trips out to the truck until he had one that worked.
It is a MotoRad MGC-787 locking cap. I should have asked what it is supposed to go on but I was so happy to have a cap that fits that I didnt even think about it. Haha, maybe pics tonight :D

My buddy just bought one of these for one of his boingers. Its a good cap, solid and well built. Ugly, but well-built :)

got my hopes up.

oh well, i'll keep searching. I already have a ugly non-locking cap. I also have a ugly locking cap that doesn't fit right, just twisting defeats the lock.

Doesn't Craig have anymore chrome locking caps?

I'd be willing to bet you'll be happy with whatever he's asking for them if he's got any left. When I'm slaving away on my truck I just keep in mind that I've got to get it good looking enough so the cap doesn't look out of place :)
