One happy trucker!

My 75 is on the road again. Wvoight from the board here came over and helped me finish getting the t2 tranny in. He also let me use his car dolly, or should I say truck dolly to tow my truck to get the exhaust done. Thanks again Bill.

How hard was it to install the T2 trans? And how much of the tunnel did you have to modify. Pictures would be great.

Lets see where should I start? You need to change the flywheel.I installed an rb lightened steel flywheel with a centerforce dual friction clutch and pressure plate. You then have to modify the cross member to match the mounting point of the trans. which is back about an 11/2".This was done by cutting the center section of the cross member out, move it back an 11/2" and weld it all back together. The mounting point of the trans. is also lower which will push it up to high so I dropped down the cross member where it bolts to the frame with some 1" shims. You also have to drill new holes in the trans. mount to match the bolt holes on the trans. I took the drive shaft to a driveline shop and they installed a t2 yoke and a new u joint on the repu shaft for about 100 bucks. The shifter is back about 5 inches so you have cut out the body a little. As for the starter, a t2 starter is the only one that will work. There it is in a nutshell.
