What is this Forum
I just stumbled upon this forum from a yahoo search, i was wondering.. It seems this is a rotary mazda truck forum yet most of the post/topics have to do with rx-7's or b series pickups...
So I was wondering if you guys mind if I come in and ask B-Series type questions (I own two) or not.
Either way....is there a forum like this for 80's b-series owners by chance?
Thanks

Hello, friend..........
Welcome to the forum.
As you might tell by the name, this is a forum for "Mazda Rotary Engined Pickups", hence the acronym "MAZDAREPU".
They were imported to the US only by Mazda for 1974 - 1977 model years only, and are relatively rare in the overall population at large.
I don't figure how you came to the conclusion that "most" of the topics/posts are about RX-7's or B-series. Although they are mentioned in many a post, I think you'll find that most of us here stay on the topic of Rotary engined trucks first, then maybe rotary engined vehicles, and then lastly by direct blood relationship of course...B-series trucks.
Most of the discussion on the B-series would be helping answer questions of those who are inclined to install a rotary engine in it. Although most of us would probably encourage the budding REPU-wanna-B to go the distance and indulge in a pure-blooded genuine REPU first, but then if that is not to be, those amongst us who are familiar with the B-series engine transplanting issue usually assist them.
So good luck with you questions, but beware, many of us are interested in the genuine article and have much less experience and interest with the B-series trucks.

I wonder if there ought to be a subforum for 'other trucks' or something like that here? I don't know of anyone who'd like to set up a B2000 forum. Just a suggestion, so we can keep the rotary action here.

IMO...A resounding.............No!...
I really enjoy and want to keep this site as a pure REPU forum. I have absolutely no objection to the occasional question about other vehicles, but if we venture outside our scope with "subforums" then IMO we "contaminate" our threads with too many comments and b/s from those who are not among us as owners, drivers or those seeking REPU's.
I have seen it too many times on other forums, and I forever hope we do not join in the urge to "expand".
I urge "NO" to the temptation. Don't take a bite of the forbidden fruit.......

No Sub forums
There will be no sub forums on this site. Period. I am keeping this site a pure REPU forum.
And although we/I (the admin) tollerate B-series queries, they are NOT the norm. I can only find a very few off topic posts, and even fewer about the rx7.
Again, this forum will stay a REPU forum. Period.

Oh, ok. I too tolerate occasional Courier or B-series questions, but it seems like it contaminates these forums just the same; that's why I suggested it.

(hmm once you pick a post picture (by accident) you cant unpick it)
That's cool i totally understand... :P
I have 2 b2000's and would love to have an rx-7 but feel no need to go through the trouble of mixing them. :P
I am facing an engine swap from my rusting hulk of a king cab, to the nicer cleaner newer smaller truck. I was hoping to get some advice for the swap (from ppl that had done it on my truck) but apparently no one loves b2000's the way I do anymore. :P
Anyways, i will leave you guys to wrench on your rotaries, :P
btw..y'all might think about putting together a proper FAQ to avoid questions like mine in the future. :]

Sell those B2000...
And get a repu ,and then join us as a member...
I think a repu is more valuable than two B2000 in the long run...
And more fun to own too...
Or you can open a B2000 forum like this forum...
