Assembly/Disassembly Order

Since I'm taking truck down to the frame I wonder if it won't be easier to just lift the cab off the frame and THEN remove the engine and trans.

This way I can reinstall the engine and trans first and then drop the cab back down hopefully minimizing the banging around in the engine bay with a 13b swinging from a cherry picker.

Anyone have thoughts on what order in which this should be done?

Take the engine out first...

It only takes about an hour or so. You'll need to disconnect brake lines, fuel lines, steering columns, wiring, water hoses, etc and it is just easier to work in there without the engine. That is IMO anyway.

I agree, take the engine out first. Taking the radiator and oil cooler out will help alot.
