headlight dimmer switch
Does anybody know much about the internals of the headlight dimmer switch? I have 2 of them, neither will click to put the beams in high. Upon inspection of both switches I could see the brass plate at the end of the white wire was loose, just flopping around in there. So I took one apart and it just seems like something is missing.
I suspect the wire that crosses over the plate is supposed to hold it in position but it just doesn't really work.
Both of them look like this, the only thing removed is the cover plate.
Does anybody know if something is missing here or is there a trick to putting these together? Do they just occasionally fall apart on their own?
