I wondered that if Mazda made a crate RX8 engine and trans special available to us that might be a great option for us.

With a proper oil pressure regulator....
But yeah the Chevrolet crate engines are very popular and make it into a lot of cars. We would want Rx8 crate powertrains. But I think Mazda wants to put the car cover over anything Rx8 these days. Sales were dismal, bad press.
