REPU Buyer's Guide?

Hey there!

I'm new here and am researching the REPU. I'd love one, but I'm afraid I don't know much about them.

Can someone help me with a few things?

1. I've read that the REPU was only sold in the U.S. and Canada when new. Is that true?

2. Is there a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection list anywhere?

3. Does an owner need to be an experienced mechanic to keep it running?

Many thanks!

Welcome Shantj! I'd just recently found and purchased a 74' myself...there isn't a list of inspections of what you have to check but keep in mind, these trucks are 37 yrs old...everything are bad on it! Pretty much you have to take a chance on it when you do find one. That's what I did...I got into this without any knowledge. Reading old threads on this forum really provided great info and most of the guys here are helpful and encouraging. I got cold feet when it first arrived but with more reading and research...now my truck is half way done! Believe me...it's a fun process but prepared to shell out some dough!

Check out progress of my truck(under Top1usa)....
