Bolt Size for Heat Shields
Hi, folks. I have a '77 that is in good running shape. It has been in the garage most of it's life, and I want to put the rest of the original parts back on. I took the heat shields off before I moved and lost the bolts. I know they were probably 10mm but I forgot. Anyone know the dimensions for those?

Pretty sure the bolt head is 10mm. So the bolt O.D. is a 6mm?

6mm x 1.00 or 6mm x 1.25 would be my guess.

Thanks, guys. I wound up taking the parts to a hardware store and messing with the metric fasteners until I got it right. There were two different sizes, one for the splash guard under the oil cooler and one for the exhaust pipe heat shield. The rock guard under the block (if a rotary has one) is in good shape, so I elected to leave it in place. I have a spare.
Excuse me for faking part names, I'm not a body or mechanic guy. I just have a good old truck.
This is still up for sale under my user name, but I intend to drop the price to $4000 OBO. If I can't sell it I may just keep it. Not sure right now. What I don't want to do is junk it. It's not junk.
