the REPU bed
Got some practice hauling a bike at freeway speeds in the REPU this weekend. The GTS1000 battery crapped out on me about 75 miles from home.
Tom,
The first week after I bought my truck I put my A model RE5 in back and went to a rally in Flagstaff in 1980. The bike weight was just right to settle the gas shocks.
I don't mean to take this off subject but is your Yamaha the model with the forks that don't dive when stopping?

Very cool.
I saw a new one on the showroom floor at Malcolm Smith motorsports in Riverside and haven't seen one since. Is that also refered to as center hub steering?

Yeah, the hub is in the center of the wheel. It looks alot like a car front suspension. maybe I should bring the GTS in the back of the REPU instead of the RE5, might generate more interest. Maybe I can fit them both in there! Might over-weight the truck though :)
