SevenStock XI - Lets do it Again!

RX-7 Heaven is back for the 11th year! The Southern California RX-Club is proud to announce SevenStock-XI! Thanks to your support, the entire rotary community, this event has gotten bigger every year, last year it was so big we had to find more real estate. Our world famous event of all things rotary is once again being held at Mazda North American Operations.

The folks at Mazda are once again allowing us to hold this great event at their beautiful headquarters in Irvine, California. So mark your calendars, get your RX cars ready and find any way you can to get to Irvine on the weekend of Saturday September 27th for an entire whole slew of rotary-related actives. Of course we'll have music, food, t-shirts, seminars, giveaways, "The Raffle", and of course tons of Rotary cars!. Spread the word, this is the DO NOT miss event of the year! Stay tuned to www.sevenstock.org, the official SevenStock website, for more information...

Yippee!!! The REPU missed last year as it was the FD's turn. This time the REPU will make it with new engine and an RE5 in the bed. Hopefully I will pick up no noise tickets to display on the way there.

Might be triple-vision!

I am going to try and come to SevenStock this year (it coincides with a work trip I have to make to Anaheim this year the week before SS), and want to drive my truck, but may have to fly due to travel time and costs to drive out and back. If I do drive, we really ought to put all the Stella Green trucks together!

If wishes were $$$$...

...it would be quadruple-vision, with me joining in.

People would never be able to figure that out!

Only problem is that we (Az Rotary Rockets) will be setting up a booth again this year so I probably wont be out with the rest of the old school cars :(

Do it Monte! We could set a world record of green REPU's together in one place.

Ooh... good idea, Tom...

I could trailer the RE5 behind my truck (maybe).... if I drive. Hmmm....

Monte- trust me, I want to, and will do everything in my power to make it happen. I have already "put a word in" with work about getting the whole next week off (after our safety show), as I am planning on heading down to Dave Meditz's place after SevenStock to visit and see his place. Flying would definitely be the most financially responsible thing to do, but I have never headed out before because I could not get the time off work to drive out. For some arcane reason, I really want to drive out to SevenStock... not fly out. Something about pulling in driving a rotary to that kind of event... riding in someone else's car/truck or driving a rental just seems like it would dilute the entire experience!

Sevenstock XI

"It's not easy being green" so I'm not. I have made my goal to attend this year "come hell or high water". I'll probably drive the yellow 77. Klaus, if you go, we could convoy from the asylum on down.

Thanks, Orville.

...but, seriously, it's highly unlikely that I'd find myself having both the time and fund$ available to do so. (I wasn't kidding about needing a sponsor!)

More likely might be me showing up on two wheels (less than half the fuel co$t) at your place, and catching a ride, and maybe splitting gas and accommodations...(?)

well Klaus show up on an RE5 and we'll put in the back and head down. or haul two down and show up like Tim Johnson.

Neal- if flying saves enough cash just rent an RX8 for the week? this would be second choice.

Tom- speaking of Tim did you see Jay Leno bought an RE5 from him.

Leno bought that from Tim a few years ago. I think it was sevenstock 5 or 6 I was talking to Tim and he told me he had sold it to Leno. I could be remembering wrong, Tim is on the forum so maybe he will chime in and tell us when he sold it :)

I don't own an RE-5...

...but if anyone has a fully roadworthy example they'd like to have me ride down for them, then by all means...!

Of course, the one rotary powered 'cycle I really want to own and ride (in my dreams)is... the Norton F1. That, and I still think it would be fun to design a bike around a custom Mazda rotary...

Got some practice hauling a bike at freeway speeds in the REPU this weekend. The GTS1000 battery crapped out on me about 75 miles from home. Had my roommate Eric bring the REPU down to haul it back home. Thats about a 650 pound bike and very close to the same length so it was almost exactly like hauling an RE5. Handling was really good and there was certainly no lack of power, I am ready for sevenstock and especially ready to haul rotary power with rotary power. Next year maybe get a trailer and tow the FD with the RE5 in the bed? I think I might need a big turbo first!
