Its been in and out a few times today. I'm messing with all the angles and found a doc from spicer on how to setup a two piece driveshaft. Haven't driven it yet. Then found a fuel leak. Have to drop the tank. Murphy again.

Brad pinion angel is almost flat .how low is the truck ?For 2to3 in 10 to 15 degerr pinion shims usually do the trick .if you lower it and dont mess with the pinion angle it usually knocks out the u joints pretty quick .good luck

Hi Matt,

Lowered the rear of my truck 2". 10 to 15 degree shims is a awful lot. I had a 4 degree shim in there and it angled the pinion up 6.5* total. That was too much shim as the front driveshaft section is only angling down 3*.

I'm messing with a 2.5* shim now which angled the pinion up 5.0* which is still too much for what I have. That darn adaptor plate to mount a 1st gen tranny case to the repu trans crossmember lifts the rear of the tranny up and increases downward angle of the front shaft section. Still messing with that.

Unless you're talking 1.0* to 1.5* shims, which sounds a lot closer.
