No such thing...

I just got off the phone with Mazdatrix and they said they never had any such truck, and like most of us know, they too said the longest factory REPU was the '77 model, roughly 3-4 inches longer than the pre-'77s, but no side rear window. They have never heard of an "extended cab", nor have they seen one (according to the guy I spoke to), especially not from Mazda.

Most likely...

...a forgotten one-off custom.

Yeah, I'd imagine you're right...

...but I wish Brad had taken a photo of it! I'm sure it was there (not doubting him), and it just predated the guy I spoke to. I'd love to see one that someone did like that, mostly because to this day I still *want* to do that very thing... along with dual rear wheels, to make a little hauler out of it. A few years ago, I really wanted to do it, and have a small gooseneck trailer made to haul two cars or one car and my RE5 to shows and group meets with the dually REPU. Who knows... maybe one day I'll actually build that truck. Doubtful, but possible.

Yeah, I can't find any data on an extended cab in repu or b1800 flavor. But I swear I saw a side window on that thing.

The term Long Cab must have struck a chord.

'77 Long Cab

The Mazdatrix shop truck is up for sale again.
Best offer by whenever I decide I really do need to get it out of here.
Decent shape. Was running, now needs some attention?

RE: Dually REPU --

Kurt Robertson of Robertson Enterprises in Molalla, OR., at least *used to* drive a dually'd red REPU, ten or so years ago.

(Somehow, no matter how appropriate for hauling a heavy load, it just didn't seem appropriate to me, though.)

Klaus,

I did a search for Robertson Enterprises hoping to talk to Kurt.. couldn't find any listing for his company. Any chance he owns "Robertson Kurt Mazda" in Molalla? Seemed like a bizarre coincidence.

I know a dually REPU may be 'wrong', but I want one! Don't know why, but I have always loved duallys in general.

There can't be more than one...

...guy/biz by his name in Molalla. You might want to look for the thread by a fairly recent new Member here in the 'Trucks for Sale' section, he bought his blue one from Kurt...
