Pics of so cal rotary club cruise to LA Mountains

http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=613342&page=3&pp=15

half way down page 3, plus page 4 have pics of my REPU.

The ice on ground was @ 5900feet altitude. We also drove thru canyons to Santa Clarita and did lunch with Ricardo Porta, local engine builder and friend of REPU.

All in all a fun drive.

next caynon run

some time next month. keep an eye on the west forum of rx7club.com

the drive was at a, shall we say, very spirited pace. some local speed limits may have been, ah, compromised. make sure your repu is up to it.

my repu usually brought up the rear of the pack. i had a walkie talkie talking to the first driver.

"Cruise"

Looks like you folks down there know how to have a good time. When I get some time for myself I'd like to bring the yellow 77 along with you.

No, I saw it too....

Darn Brad!! I had no idea you had a true JDM Super Savanna GT hood prop (I think here in the US it' s called a broom stick, yes?)!!

All kidding aside, the cruise looks like a blast. Wish I could have been there. I must say all the guys on the rx7club forum saying it looked cold need to come visit the Great White North here. Cold... HA! You guys have no idea!

Make sure you take pics of the next cruise and post them somewhere. Besides seeing all the nice cars (and truck!), I really like seeing green in the pics! I really miss green grass.... everything is white here.

Neal.

Home Depot 1" dowel

and I took the part # tag from my MAZDA factory lower control arm shaft and taped it to said JDM hood prop. Just for kicks.

it was a great way to spend a saturday. i get tired of wrenching all weekend, i bought the truck to drive it. it handeled well for a leaf sprung mini-truck, but not as well as a lowered 2nd gen rx7. I'm thinking composite leaf springs and a panhard rod would help out. + a professional alignment. the front end ain't gettin better w/o a redesign...

Neal, glad u liked the pix. It was chilly by CA standards but no powder!!! in the summer the canyons turn brown from dying brush, but still green trees.

I can post here the next time we go out but really keep in mind they didn't go slow and I was a green caboose, bringing up the rear.

Gotta run, today's my b-day and gotta get the appetizers ready for buddies.

Brad
