so, my current question at hand is...

ok, i have a bit of money saved up from working. (im only 17) and i can either spend the money on getting the repu up and running, OR i could use it to buy a Suzuki RE-5 that i found. id like to have both, but im not too sure on which i would like to do/have more. which would you do?

repu

focus $ and time on REPU. One project at a time and it'll get done faster.

I'm curious why whomever gets this truck seems to loose interest. Back when 75 REPU had it, he was going strong for a little while and then just seemed to set it aside. He didn't even make the trip to SS6 in it. Him and I kind of had a little race around this time last year to see who'd finish their project first (mine is a rotary GLC). Well, I'm still plugging away and he moved away. I think I'll get mine to finally run next month after a little over a year of off and on work. Too bad I can't say the same for fim.

Eric, a local rotorhead has an RE-5 in pieces. I think he has all he needs for an engine rebuild. It just seems to sit there though. He also has a '75 REPU. Why don't you just finish the REPU first?

yeah thats what i decided on. and frank wasnt the first to be lazy with it! it was the first truck his brother bought, he wanted to put a shitload of stereo stuff and bags and all that, but he never ended up doing it. i think the only person who wasnt lazy with it was the bastid who put a 4-cyl in there, but theres no telling how long it took him to do the swap.

oi vei, this REPU is nothing but problems. or at least getting it its that way. one of the two brothers went up to vegas this weekend and neither of them want to make the trip by themselves because of how long it is. so now im looking at it being in 2 weeks from now. but i guess i cant complain because theyre doing it for free....

Just keep plugging away. I have two REPUs under my belt. Even my 20B project is nearing completion.
